The Role

As Temporary Works Coordinator, you will act as a key link between our design and site teams, ensuring that Temporary Works requirements are identified, appropriately designed, and safely implemented.

You will coordinate Temporary Works activities across multiple projects, providing technical support and guidance while ensuring that relevant standards, legislation, design requirements, and company processes are followed.

You will also support the development of Temporary Works Supervisors, promote good practice, and help ensure a strong focus on health, safety, quality, and wellbeing across our projects.

Key Responsibilities

Temporary Works

  • Coordinate Temporary Works activities across the West Delivery regions (Wales, South-West & Midlands).
  • Act as the main point of contact between project, design, and site teams for Temporary Works requirements.
  • Ensure Temporary Works designs are appropriately developed and implemented.
  • Coordinate the preparation of Temporary Works Design Briefs, obtaining input from relevant project stakeholders.
  • Submit Design Briefs to Temporary Works Designers and ensure appropriate designs are completed where required.
  • Ensure Temporary Works designs are independently checked where necessary for concept, structural adequacy, and compliance with the agreed brief.
  • Coordinate Design Check Certificates and associated Design Packs.
  • Maintain accurate records of drawings, calculations, and other Temporary Works documentation.
  • Establish and maintain the Temporary Works Register for allocated projects.
  • Ensure Temporary Works requirements are incorporated into project-specific RAMS.
  • Ensure site teams and those responsible for supervision receive appropriate design information, including significant risks, restrictions, and design limitations.
  • Manage changes to Temporary Works requirements, ensuring proposed changes to materials, construction methods, or arrangements are reviewed against the original design.
  • Ensure agreed changes, remedial works, and corrections are appropriately implemented on site.
  • Monitor and support Temporary Works Supervisors, identifying training and development requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate Temporary Works inspections and checks are undertaken at the required stages.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance and routine inspections are completed throughout the period of use.
  • Issue formal permits to load or unload where appropriate, or ensure these are issued by the relevant Temporary Works Supervisor.
  • Liaise with Permanent Works Designers where temporary conditions or loads may need to be considered within the permanent works design.
  • Coordinate Temporary Works requirements across multiple projects and programmes, ensuring key deliverables are achieved within agreed timescales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
