Spearheading the JRL Group from the outset

J Reddington Ltd have been an industry leading groundwork and concrete frame specialist for over two decades.

Building on a proven track record to date, the company is now increasingly being called upon to deliver solutions on large projects in London and the South East.

We are looking to recruit a design engineer with responsibility for carrying out temporary works schemes and associated design reports with scheme drawings.

Role Includes But Is Not Limited To

  • Undertake the design of concrete structures, groundwork and formwork systems
  • Select the appropriate temporary works solution for a scheme
  • Produce calculation reports in line with design codes
  • Produce workshop drawings to illustrate the temporary works solution selected
  • Produce designer risk assessments
  • Work with permanent works designer to integrate the temporary solution where possible
  • Liaise with clients and all members of the design team when necessary

  • Applicants should have a good knowledge of building codes such as EC2 & BS 5975
  • Possess a civil or structural engineering degree working towards chartership
  • Good working knowledge of 3D software especially Revit, Tedds, Robot, Wallap, Graytec Advanced design
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team but use own initiative to complete tasks
  • Knowledge of concrete structures, groundwork support and formwork support systems
  • Ideally 5 years post graduate experience
