Tenancy Manager
Location: Hybrid working, home and office based (Hitchin). Office parking provided.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience. Opportunities for bonuses and commissions.
The Letting Quarter / The Property Quarter is looking for an organised, proactive and personable Tenancy Manager to join our friendly and established team in Hitchin.
This is a varied and rewarding role in which you will manage your own portfolio of approximately 150 properties. You will be the dedicated point of contact for your landlords and tenants, building strong relationships while ensuring each tenancy is managed smoothly, professionally and in full compliance with current legislation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinating property maintenance and repairs
- Responding to tenant queries and tenancy-related matters
- Preparing and processing legal notices, including tenant notices, Section 8 and Section 3 notices
- Ensuring all required compliance documents are in place and up to date
- Managing check-outs, deposit negotiations and disputes
- Keeping landlords and tenants informed throughout the tenancy
- Managing tenancy renewals, extensions and changes
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records
- Supporting the wider lettings and property management team

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and confident managing multiple priorities
- Accurate, with excellent attention to detail
- A clear and professional communicator
- Calm and solutions-focused when working under pressure
- Comfortable using computers and property management software
- Helpful, dependable and able to work well as part of a team
- Proactive, with a positive, can-do attitude
- An independent and resourceful worker
A Level 3 ARLA qualification in Lettings and Property Management would be desirable but is not essential. However, a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification is required.
