Role Description
The Tenant Liaison Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Islington area London responsible for acting as the main point of contact between tenants, contractors, and internal teams. Day-to-day tasks include informing tenants about planned works, schedules, and access requirements, and responding promptly to enquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner. The role involves visiting properties, conducting tenant meetings, and recording feedback to help ensure that works are carried out with minimal disruption. The Tenant Liaison Officer will coordinate with project managers and operatives to resolve issues, monitor progress, and ensure that tenant communication is accurate, timely, and accessible. The position also requires maintaining detailed records, preparing basic reports, and supporting initiatives that improve tenant satisfaction and service quality.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with tenants and colleagues.
- Experience in customer service, housing, social care, or a similar tenant-facing or community-focused role.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize schedules, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Problem-solving skills, with a calm and constructive approach to conflict resolution and complaint handling.
- Basic IT proficiency, including use of email, word processing, and spreadsheets for communication and reporting.
- Knowledge of housing or property maintenance processes is beneficial, along with an understanding of tenant rights and responsibilities.
- Willingness to work on-site across the West Midlands, including property visits and occasional out-of-hours communications when required.
- Relevant vocational training or a qualification in housing, customer service, or a related field is advantageous, though equivalent experience will be considered.
