Business Description

Spectrum Geosurvey specialise in coastal geophysical surveys, supporting a wide range of clients in the offshore renewables sector. We have a proven track record delivering the highest-quality hydrographic and geophysical survey data. Spectrum Geosurvey are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our growing team based in our Lymington office.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Tender Manager who can combine practical survey knowledge with strong writing, coordination and commercial judgement.

This role will lead high-quality tenders from opportunity review through to contract handover. It is suited to someone with around three years of marine geophysical survey experience who understands how field operations are planned and can turn that knowledge into credible, competitive proposals.

The Role & What you will do

You will own the day-to-day tender process and bring together commercial, technical, operational, project and QHSE inputs. You will ensure methodologies, resources, schedules, assumptions and pricing inputs are aligned, deliverable and responsive to the client’s requirements, then provide a clear handover following award.

  • Lead tenders, pre-qualification questionnaires and requests for information through review, approval and submission.
  • Analyse invitations to tender, scopes of work and contract documents to identify deliverables, compliance requirements, risks and clarification points.
  • Prepare tender plans, compliance matrices, responsibility schedules and review programmes.
  • Develop technical methodologies, execution plans, vessel and equipment selections, personnel plans and programmes.
  • Coordinate estimates and pricing inputs so that the offer reflects the proposed delivery model.
  • Develop clear assumptions, qualifications, exclusions and commercial reservations for internal approval.
  • Challenge inputs constructively to confirm that the proposed solution is safe, practical and achievable.
  • Manage internal reviews and approvals, incorporate comments and maintain accurate version control.
  • Coordinate client clarifications, interviews and presentations.
  • Provide a post-award handover covering scope, commitments, risks, assumptions and outstanding actions.
  • Maintain tender records and templates, improve proposal processes and guide Proposal Coordinators.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
