About Ordtek
Ordtek is a specialist provider of unexploded ordnance risk management services across marine and offshore environments.
We support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage risk assessment and survey planning through to target investigation, mitigation, client representation, ALARP certification and residual-risk management.
Our work spans offshore wind, electricity interconnectors, subsea telecommunications, oil and gas, pipelines, marine construction and other offshore infrastructure markets.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Tender Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality, competitive tender submissions and support the continued growth of the business.
This is a key role within the commercial function, taking ownership of the tender process from initial opportunity assessment through to submission and contract award. You will work closely with technical, operational, finance and commercial colleagues to develop compelling proposals that clearly demonstrate our capability, experience and value to clients.
Alongside managing live tenders, you will play an important role in strengthening our wider bid processes, improving governance, maintaining tender resources and using feedback and lessons learned to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of our submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end tender process for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), prequalification questionnaires (PQQs), expressions of interest and other procurement opportunities.
- Review tender documentation to identify client requirements, submission criteria, scope, risks, contractual considerations and compliance obligations.
- Develop and manage tender programmes, including bid/no-bid reviews, responsibilities, deadlines, internal reviews and approvals.
- Coordinate contributions from technical teams, operations, finance and external partners to produce accurate, deliverable and fully compliant submissions.
- Develop clear, persuasive and client-focused proposals that communicate our technical capability, commercial value, experience and differentiators.
- Draft, edit and quality-assure non-technical content, maintaining a consistent and professional corporate tone.
- Manage the structure, formatting, presentation and overall quality of tender documentation.
- Maintain and continually improve tender templates, case studies, project experience, qualifications information and the wider tender library.
- Manage tender activity through client procurement portals and act as a central point of coordination throughout the submission process.
- Coordinate appropriate review of contractual, legal and commercial terms with internal stakeholders and external advisors where required.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, tender and outcome information within the company's CRM and sales systems.
- Lead post-tender reviews and capture client feedback, lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse tender performance and outcomes to identify trends and opportunities to improve future win rates and commercial effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
