Senior Tendering Engineer

Reports to: Commercial Lead
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Working Pattern: Flexible based on candidate. Open to two days a month on site.

Main purpose of the role:

To prepare accurate, commercially sound tender submissions and major project quotations, while providing technical support to customers, the Business Development Manager, and the wider tendering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Major Project quotations based on customer enquiries, wherever possible adhering to specification and schematic
  • Completion of general arrangement drawings to support quotations
  • Working to (wherever possible) agreed quality objectives in terms of quotation response and prioritising wherever possible those enquiries with a high probability of success
  • Liaise with customers & Business Development Manager to ensure we correctly interpret their requirements
  • Provide support to the Business Development Manager in terms of quotation progress / requotes and/or customer visits
  • Utilise Pipedrive to record quotations, customer contact, and feedback
  • When required, provide supporting commentary to the Business Development Manager highlighting anomalies, exclusions, and also VE opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to the Management Meetings
