An experienced Tendering Specialist is required on a 12-week contract basis to support a significant increase in workload within the Aberdeen team of a global energy service organisation.

Working closely with business development, commercial and operational teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting live bids, improving bid content and ensuring tendering processes are efficient, compliant and well organised. The role will require an immediate impact to live bids while contributing to longer-term improvements across the wider bid function.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting priority bids and RFIs
  • Drafting and editing responses
  • Coordinating subject matter expert inputs
  • Undertaking compliance reviews
  • Assisting with final submission activities
  • Reviewing and consolidating existing bid content
  • Developing and maintaining core boilerplate responses
  • Refreshing outdated material
  • Capturing high-quality content from live submissions for future use
  • Reviewing and cleansing tender portal accounts
  • Updating company and contact information
  • Removing duplicate records
  • Confirming ownership and access permissions
  • Establishing a controlled portal register
  • Managing vendor registrations and prequalification requirements
  • Collating standard corporate information
  • Identifying gaps that could impact tender submissions
  • Ensuring key registrations remain current and compliant

Requirements

  • Previous commercial experience within bid coordination, bid management, proposal writing, and tender support, preferably within the energy sector
  • Strong written communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment
