Job Description

Join ALPADIA’s team to make summer 2027 an unbelievable experience! We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.

We are currently recruiting Tennis Coach on a fixed term summer contract.

Your role:

  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care
  • Prepare and lead afternoon Premium tennis activity, giving thought to staging to ensure all students enjoy the Tennis class
  • Deliver the standard of quality that our students and stakeholders expect of Alpadia
  • Be friendly and approachable to develop positive relationships with students that help to enhance their overall experience
  • Manage students’ behaviour, with a judicious awareness of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate
  • Prioritize the safety of students more than anything else, following our Safeguarding and Health and Safety procedures

Qualifications

Your profile:

Essential:

  • Accredited tennis coaching qualification (e.g., LTA Level 2 or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering tennis coaching to individuals and groups.
  • Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, tactics, and rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop players of all ages and abilities.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.

Desirable:

  • Higher-level coaching qualification (e.g., LTA Level 3 or above)
  • Experience coaching performance or competitive players.
  • Experience organizing tournaments, camps, or tennis events.
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning for tennis.
  • Previous experience working within a tennis club, academy, or school environment.
  • Full driving license and access to transport.
  • Experience using coaching technology and performance analysis tools.
  • Additional qualifications in sports science, physical education, or related fields.
  • Valid safeguarding and child protection certification.
  • Current First Aid qualification.
  • Previous experience working with international students.

Location of our course centre and dates of commitment:

  • Tuesday-Thursday-Friday
  • From 14:00 to 16:30
  • Woldingham 06.07.27 - 06.08.27

Miscellaneous:

  • Non-Residential position with accommodation provided on site
