Role Description
The Tennis Coach will deliver high-quality on-court coaching sessions for individuals and groups, focusing on technical skills, footwork, tactics, and match play. This is a full-time on-site role based in York, involving planning and leading daily training programs, clinics, and camps for a range of ages and abilities. The coach will assess player performance, set development goals, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.

- Basic administrative tasks such as session scheduling, attendance tracking, and progress reporting

Qualifications
- Strong tennis coaching skills, including stroke production, footwork, and match tactics, with experience working with junior and adult players.
- Ability to design structured training plans, group sessions, and drills tailored to different skill levels and learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate players, build trust with families, and work effectively within a coaching team.
- Commitment to player safety and wellbeing, including knowledge of safeguarding practices and creating an inclusive environment.
- Relevant coaching certification from a recognized tennis or sports governing body (e.g., LTA or equivalent) or progress toward such certification.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and professionalism, including punctuality and consistent session preparation.
- Physical ability to demonstrate techniques, participate in drills, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience with competitive tennis (playing or coaching) and basic match management is an advantage.
- First Aid training and background checks suitable for working with young people are desirable.
