Role & Responsibilities
The role of Senior Project Manager is to plan, deliver, and close training equipment projects according to strict quality standards, deadlines and within budget while maintaining high levels of safety and customer satisfaction. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and subcontractors to deliver training equipment projects according to plan and budget. Senior PM will have accountabilities for all projects coming through the team. They will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities
- To lead and project manage the delivery of the Fit to Receive elements of Raytheon provisioned Tasking Orders & In Year Changes training equipment projects across the Selborne naval training estate.
- The Senior Project Manager will achieve this through the delivery of high-quality training support tasks in line with Raytheon company standards and Selborne contractual requirements.
- Manage the initiation and delivery of training projects as prioritised by TEM/PMO.
- Engage with key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of specific training projects.
- Provide planning and coordination activities for training projects ensuring 3rd party contractors and IPTs are involved.
- Senior PM in the validation of the through life support arrangements for training equipment’s.
- Engage with relevant design authority to initiate technical refreshes.
- Senior PM in the disposal of redundant TE in accordance with MoD procedures, ensuring legislative requirements are observed.

Required experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Project Management within Defence, engineering or similar environment.
- Eligible to work in the UK and must possess (or be able to obtain) SC level security clearance.
- Experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently varying in size and complexity.
- Experience of Project Management End to End Full Life Cycles.
- An adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities.
- Has experience of technical installations (electrical, mechanical, IT and/or relevant training equipment).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project team members, clients, and superiors at all levels and in all areas of management.
- Excellent Knowledge of Project and Risk Analysis management techniques.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, VISO or CAD, Word, and Excel.
Desirable experience
- Experience of applying engineering/electrical principles practically in a military technical environment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
- IOSH Level 3 Managing Safely.
