Description
We are currently seeking a Terminal Supervisor based at our Blyth Cement Depot in Northumberland.
As our Terminal Supervisor, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and safe operation of the Cement Terminal, which receives and distributes our products, via both sea and road networks to various locations across GB.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving a positive health, safety & wellbeing culture for all our colleagues & visitors to site.
- Compliance with all health, safety, environmental and sustainability legislation, permit requirements and targets.
- Overseeing the operation, receipt and despatch of Cementitious products for the terminal.
- Supervision, development and support for all terminal colleagues.
- Supervision of all drivers whilst on site.
- Day to day maintenance of site equipment.
- Supervision of all maintenance contractors.
- Proactive communication of safety observations, near misses, and incidents within the work area to your line manager and health safety and wellbeing department.
- Assist with setting and maintaining the site operational and Capex budgets

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Supervisory experience with the ability to demonstrate previous experience of people management.
- Ideally have an engineering background, with a general mechanical / electrical understanding of fixed plant machinery, along with the ability to identify faults and report accordingly.
- You will have a pro-active “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.
- Flexibility to be able to work outside of core working hours as and when required.
- IOSH managing safely / NEBOSH qualification or be willing to work to obtain.
- A valid UK driving license.
