The Role of the Business Development Manager

  • Selling a comprehensive portfolio of procedural solutions, instruments and consumables into the operating theatre and other acute settings
  • You will be managing and developing key acute care accounts, notably across key/large NHS Trusts.
  • You will be sales planning to develop key accounts ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth.
  • You will be analysing, identifying, opening and closing new business opportunities with both clinical decision makers and influencers as well as non-clinical decision makers
  • Field based role covering the region of Scotland and North East (down to Hull) so extensive travel will be required.

The Ideal Person for the Territory Manager

  • An experienced medical devices sales person, ideally with procedure pack/surgical- instruments/consumables sales but not essential
  • Must be willing to travel across a large region (Scotland and North East)
  • In-depth knowledge of effective sales techniques and methodologies including account management
  • Acute Care insight and market experience
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of achieving sales and leading innovative problem solving in a team that meets evolving new business challenges
  • Ability to persuade and influence people at all levels and develop good working relationships
