Territory Manager

Location: South of the UK - (candidates to be based near Bristol, Chepstow, Cardiff, or Bath)

Salary: Competitive base salary, commission, and benefits

We’re looking for a Territory Manager to join our Heavy Equipment Auction business, covering the South of the UK.

About the Role

As a Territory Manager, you’ll be at the front line of our business, responsible for developing new customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and driving significant transactional value across your territory.

Our Territory Managers are the front line of our business and are directly responsible for the generation of billions of dollars in gross transactional value every year. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for proactively prospecting and cold calling new customers, as well as managing existing accounts.

  • Selling all the Ritchie Bros. multi-channel solutions through prospecting & developing business, planning, pipeline management within the assigned territory
  • Sourcing and growing sales with new business and supporting existing business through personal and professional relationships with customers – it’s all about the customer
  • Developing assigned territory by building and maintaining the Playbook and utilizing the CRM (Salesforce) tool on a frequent basis
  • Understanding specific needs of customers and delivering value by providing customized solutions via presentations
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to negotiate and close deals
  • Attending 4 to 6 auction sales, 1 to 2 days each within the region, where you'll meet with your customers and colleagues
  • Traveling overnight approximately 5 to 7 days per month to cover the territory and 1 to 2 days prior to each auction sale
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • 2 to 10 years in a structured outside/field sales role, and a consistent track record of meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
  • Equipment Industry or Construction Equipment experience is preferred
  • Experience in quota-driven sales required (Industry experience/knowledge highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain authentic customer relationships
  • Competitive without sacrificing integrity
  • Work primarily from a home office and on the road
  • Located near Bristol, Chepstow, Cardiff, or Bath
