Location - Leeds/Preston Contract: 12 months

The Role

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of veterinary practices within your territory. You will promote a market-leading portfolio of pet health products and services, helping customers improve patient outcomes while achieving commercial success.

Working closely with veterinary professionals, you will act as a trusted business partner, providing tailored solutions, training, and support that drive value for customers and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve individual and territory sales targets across the Pet Health portfolio.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within veterinary practices.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing commercial agreements.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage pricing, rebates, and commercial agreements where applicable.

Customer Partnership & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary practices, key decision-makers, and industry influencers.
  • Deliver a combination of face-to-face and virtual customer engagement.
  • Provide product training and support to veterinary teams.
  • Offer commercial guidance, merchandising support, marketing advice, and customer education solutions.
  • Position the organisation as a trusted partner through value-added consultancy and business support services.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Strategic Account Managers, Technical Consultants, and Sales Leadership teams.
  • Share market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor activity.
  • Support the successful launch of new products and services.
  • Utilise digital tools and innovative engagement methods to enhance customer relationships.

Territory Management

  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans using customer and sales data.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and utilise performance analytics to drive results.
  • Continuously develop business, technical, and industry knowledge.

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • A degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven sales experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience in, or a strong understanding of, the veterinary or animal health sector.
  • Excellent relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
  • Confidence in securing customer commitment and closing opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and a self-motivated approach.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within the Animal Health industry.
  • Established relationships within the veterinary sector.
  • NOAH Certificate of Animal Health qualification.
  • Experience selling business solutions, consultancy services, or value-added commercial offerings.
