How you will make an impact:

Under the direction of the Business Unit Director, this role will have responsibility for both commercial objectives as well as providing hands-on clinical and educational support within Edwards Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit.

This position will be field-based, covering Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, with regular travel to hospital sites (and some travel across the wider UK / Ireland region). We are looking for candidates based close to Dublin or Belfast.

You will build relationships with key customers, as well as providing educational and clinical support in cardiac cath lab as an expert for Edwards TMTT products.

How you will make an impact:

Commercial focus:

  • Plan and implement actions to achieve sales and profit targets as defined in the Business annual sales plan.
  • Monitor sales activity, plan and prepare forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the given territory as well as propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities.
  • Promoting educational events, clinical sessions, trials, and marketing studies to customers.
  • Drive penetration of Edwards products in the given territory, strengthen relationships, and create new businesses. Introduce new therapies in the region, launch new products. Work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Professional Education.
  • Collect, analyze, and provide with external (market) and internal (products performance, success rate...) data.

Clinical Support focus:

  • With a thorough working knowledge of cardiology, and training on Edwards Mitral and tricuspid products/therapies, you will support customers with procedures as a clinical expert for Edwards TMTT.
  • You will provide clinical training and guidance to the TMTT customers, ensuring effective support and proctoring of the devices within cath lab.
  • Be responsible for implants performance on the given territory.
  • Providing guidance in the patient selection process and suitability for a Transcatheter Heart Valve Implants.
  • Maintain high quality by following the Procedural Success Rate (PSR) objectives.
  • Provide appropriate support tools for use in the field (such as case study reports, slides, review of clinical data).
  • Participate in TMTT Clinical Marketing team meetings and company-organized training sessions.
  • Closely work with country sales organizations and clinical teams.

What you will need (requirements):

  • Experience working in an operating room and/or cath lab environment is expected; and awareness of how to behave in a sterile environment.
  • Knowledge of the interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. Experience of heart valve implant procedures would also be advantageous.
  • High interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Related life science degree, nursing qualification, or equivalent, and a good general understanding and knowledge of natural sciences, biology, and medicine.
  • Cardiac imaging skills and experience such as Echo would be an advantage.
  • You will have a passion for making a difference for patients, strong self-motivation, and able to work with autonomy.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Flexible person and able to travel extensively.
  • Fluency in English and Danish to business level is essential.
  • Previous experience in conducting training programs to both physician and support staff is a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience in sales in the medical field would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • You enjoy travel, and being in a field-based role. Driving license essential.
