Job Description
About the Role
The purpose of our Structural Heart business is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
We are looking to recruit a highly clinical Territory Manager for our Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) portfolio across central UK (ideal locations include East & West Midlands/north of M25).
What You’ll Do
This role is a mix of clinical and commercial activity, with clinical sign-off and procedural support expected.
- Achieve commercial sales targets on the given geographical area of responsibility to ensure we achieve planned sales revenues.
- Become conversant in all aspects of TAVI and to be able to effectively communicate the rationale of using Abbott TAVI technology in all applications.
- Provide field support for Abbott's TAVI Program.
- Lead or assist with training of NHS TAVI Team staff.
- Assist in the planning and training as required for new product launches.
- Maintains expert status and continuing clinical and technical proficiency in product expertise that goes beyond features and benefits, focusing also on design, development, clinical application and competitive positioning.
- Achieve sales targets on the given territory, maintaining all aspects of commercial activity, including KOL relationships, monitoring competitor activity and pricing.
- Ability to operate commercially with both clinical and commercial customers.
- Work with local leadership to formulate and implement commercial and marketing strategies to achieve required growth.

What You’ll Need
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- Prior medical devices sales experience with a clinical, in-procedure component
- Ideally strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledge and familiarity with cath lab/operating room procedures and protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ideally significant prior sales experience demonstrating cycles of success
- Proven ability to deliver results
- To have a good strategic understanding and the ability to understand the bigger picture
- To demonstrate initiative and work with a high degree of independence
- To be a team player and also demonstrate high personal involvement with commitment to the customer
