Territory Sales Manager Crop Care
We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager Crop Care to join our new Crop Care & Precision Tech team. We won’t just be selling equipment; we will be selling innovative products and solutions which deliver better agronomic and economic outcomes for our customers. As a Territory Sales Manager Crop Care your focus will be on driving sales growth and customer adoption of John Deere Crop Care solutions across your assigned territory.
This role combines customer-facing sales execution, dealer enablement and strategic territory planning to accelerate market share growth and strengthen John Deere’s position in Crop Care Solutions. You will be collaborating with other members of the John Deere field team and our channel partners to manage the sales funnel for your assigned products, identifying and qualifying target customers, developing customer-specific solutions and supporting dealers on key opportunities from prospecting through closing.
Your Responsibilities
- Execute the Crop Care sales funnel and actively manage opportunities within your territory
- Identify and prioritize target customers and growth opportunities with a focus on large and progressive farming operations
- Collaborate with John Deere dealers to develop, qualify and close sales opportunities
- Maintain high-quality Crop Care CRM data and ensure accurate pipeline management and forecasting
- Implement differentiated sales and demo activities by leveraging a strong production system argumentation.
- Support dealers throughout the sales process including customer visits, value argumentation and offer development
- Work closely between Production Systems, Horst Factory and the dealer network to jointly accelerate Crop Care Sales and our customers’ experience.
- Lead solution development activities by aligning customer needs with John Deere Crop Care products and technologies by understanding customer needs and matching those with John Deere Crop Care products and technologies
- Analyze market trends, competitive activities and customer needs to identify additional growth opportunities
- Provide insights and feedback to Product Management, Marketing and Leadership teams to support future business development

What Skills You Need
- Strong understanding of agricultural production systems and crop care solutions
- Proven experience in agricultural sales, precision agriculture, crop protection equipment, application technology or related industries
- Customer Knowledge: Ability to talk with customers, understand their production systems, identify how Crop Care solutions can help improve their results and translate product capabilities into operational and business value
- Sales Execution: Experience managing sales opportunities, customer relationships and pipeline activities from identification through closing
- Dealer Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with dealers, customers and cross-functional teams to drive business results
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical and commercial information to different audiences
- Action-Oriented: Bias towards action, with the ability to roll up sleeves and start doing it to get the ball rolling
- Analytical Skills: Experience using CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools to support forecasting and execution
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and spend time in the field as needed to support dealers and customers

What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with self-propelled and trailed sprayers, crop care equipment or application technologies
- Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies and their integration into Crop Care Solutions
- Established network within the agricultural industry and dealer channel
- Demonstrated ability to execute complex sales opportunities and multi-stakeholder customer engagements
- Experience building effective relationships with customers, dealers and internal partners
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple teams, functions or business units to drive impact
- Track record of exceeding sales objectives and driving market share growth
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience within agriculture, agronomy, agricultural engineering, business administration with agricultural focus or agricultural sales
This exempt position is based at our Sales & Marketing Division in the UK, Langar, Nottingham, UK.
The role will report directly to Katharina Menzel, Division Sales Manager, Crop Care and Precision Tech, UK & Germany.
This position is vacant immediately.
