Territory Sales Manager Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Depending on experience - plus bonus
Location: Sussex & London South East region
Hours: 40 Hybrid Company Car
Exciting Opportunity: Territory Sales Manager in the Construction Industry - Sussex & London South East Region
Are you a commercially driven sales professional with a passion for building strong customer relationships and growing market share? We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of customer accounts across a defined geographical region.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth across our Aggregates and Asphalt product lines by implementing an effective territory sales strategy. You will work closely with customers, colleagues and key stakeholders to increase volume, revenue and profitability while providing an exceptional customer experience.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and prospects.
- Developing and maintaining long-term commercial relationships across Aggregates and Asphalt markets.
- Working collaboratively with operations, logistics, customer service and technical teams.
- Managing customer engagement through face-to-face meetings, telephone contact and digital channels.
- Preparing quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
- Contributing to territory plans, sales forecasts and annual budgets.
- Increasing share of wallet through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Creating and maintaining Customer Management Plans aligned to business strategies.
- Identifying new business opportunities across the full Heidelberg Materials portfolio.
- Ensuring customer enquiries and issues are resolved within agreed service standards.
- Coordinating activities across multiple product lines to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Using market intelligence, ABI and CRM data to identify profitable growth opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate records across SAP, CRM and other approved systems.
- Reviewing customer feedback and implementing actions to improve satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and prioritise workload effectively.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on delivering profitable growth.
- Confidence using CRM systems and sales performance data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
- Knowledge of Aggregates, Asphalt or the wider construction materials sector.
- Experience working within the construction, infrastructure or building materials industry.
