We are the people who give possibilities purpose
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, commercially astute Territory Manager to join our Interventional Oncology (IO) team within BD’s Peripheral Intervention (PI) business. This is a high-impact, field-based role with full ownership of a strategically important territory across North and focusing on our Vascular Access product portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals across oncology, interventional radiology, palliative care, thoracic surgery, community nurses, and other specialized areas to position BD solutions effectively and profitably.
You will be expected to spend a minimum of four days per week in the field, engaging directly with customers and stakeholders across the territory. This role is ideally suited to a proven sales professional who thrives in complex NHS environments, enjoys autonomy, and is motivated by delivering meaningful clinical and commercial outcomes.
Our Vision for Interventional Oncology at BD
Within IO, our focus is on partnering with the NHS to improve patient pathways through innovation, evidence-based solutions, and long-term value. We work collaboratively with clinicians and healthcare systems to support better outcomes for patients while addressing the operational and economic pressures facing modern healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full commercial ownership of your territory, operating it as a business and delivering against clear growth and performance objectives.
- Develop and execute robust, data-driven territory business plans aligned to national and regional strategy focusing mainly on our Vascular Access product range.
- Deliver sustained achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets across a complex NHS account base.
- Build deep, trusted relationships with senior clinical, procurement, finance, and operational stakeholders.
- Lead and manage product evaluations, trials, and adoption pathways, ensuring appropriate governance and in-service support.
- Identify and unlock growth through value-based selling, service redesign, and pathway optimization.
- Work closely with Clinical Consultants, Marketing, and National Sales leadership to maximize territory performance.
- Maintain strong forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, and CRM discipline.
- Represent BD as a credible, professional partner in clinical education, innovation, and long-term collaboration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
