SWIE-Lift Ltd, founded in 2001, has grown from a small hire company into a multi-award-winning distributor of Catapilar, Heli, Combilift, and Aisle-Master forklifts, and a dealer for JLG and HAKO equipment. With a fleet of over 1000 machines, the company supplies industrial equipment to businesses across South Wales, Newport, Swansea, and Carmarthenshire. Role Description
The Territory Sales Person role is a full-time, on-site position based in South Wales. This role involves managing and growing a defined sales territory by identifying prospective customers, nurturing existing client relationships, and promoting SWIE-Lift’s range of forklifts and industrial equipment. Daily responsibilities include making in-person visits to customer sites, conducting product demonstrations, preparing and following up on quotations, and negotiating sales agreements in line with company guidelines. The Territory Sales Person will collaborate closely with the service and operations teams to ensure that customer requirements are accurately captured and fulfilled, and that after-sales support is delivered effectively. The role also requires maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, monitoring market trends, and providing feedback to management to support sales strategies and product positioning.

Qualifications

- Strong territory and account management skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and relationship-building with industrial and commercial clients.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, with experience preparing quotes, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Customer service orientation, with the capacity to understand material handling needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
- Knowledge of or interest in forklifts, industrial equipment, or related sectors; ability to learn technical product features and benefits.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both in-person and in writing, with professional, clear, and persuasive delivery.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including territory planning, visit scheduling, and accurate CRM record-keeping.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Previous field sales experience in B2B environments is highly beneficial; experience in material handling or industrial equipment is an advantage.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with internal teams; proactive, self-motivated work style.
- Basic proficiency with standard office software and CRM systems.
