Are you great with people, confident starting conversations and motivated by seeing the results of your work?
Perhaps you've built your experience within retail, visual merchandising, customer service, hospitality or sales and you're looking for an opportunity to take those skills into a field-based commercial role.
Or maybe you're already working within field sales, FMCG or convenience and want more ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to represent a major consumer brand.
We're partnering with a globally recognised consumer goods business that's continuing to invest in and grow its UK field sales operation.
They're looking for a Territory Sales Executive to take ownership of a territory covering Luton, Bedford, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, building relationships with independent retailers and helping drive the visibility, availability and performance of its brands in-store.
THE ROLE
This isn't a desk-based sales job.
You'll spend your working week out in the market, visiting retailers, building relationships and spotting opportunities to improve how the brand shows up in-store.
You'll be trusted to manage your territory like your own business, planning your calls, identifying opportunities and taking responsibility for delivering results.
You'll be responsible for:
- Building strong relationships with independent retailers across your territory.
- Winning new customers and increasing product distribution.
- Improving product availability, range, visibility and in-store positioning.
- Identifying opportunities for additional shelf space and secondary displays.
- Supporting promotions and ensuring they're executed effectively in-store.
- Using merchandising materials and equipment to improve brand visibility.
- Having confident commercial conversations with retailers and influencing decisions.
- Working collaboratively with distribution and commercial partners.
- Planning your own calls and managing your territory effectively.
- Monitoring competitor activity and feeding back market insights.
- Taking ownership of your equipment, reporting and territory spend.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're interested in attitude, potential and transferable skills, not just whether you've already worked within FMCG.
Previous field sales experience would certainly be advantageous, but it isn't essential. You could currently be working within:
- Retail or Store Management – where you're used to working with customers, driving standards and taking ownership.
- Visual Merchandising – where you understand how product positioning, availability and presentation influence sales.
- Sales or Business Development – where you're confident approaching customers, building relationships and handling objections.
- Customer Service or Hospitality – where you've developed excellent people skills and know how to build rapport quickly.
- FMCG or Field Sales – and you're looking for the next opportunity to take ownership of your own territory.
Ultimately, we're looking for someone who's confident, personable, resilient and commercially minded.

- You'll be organised, self-motivated and capable of managing your own diary and territory.
