Territory Sales Representative – Plastics & Composites

Location: Southern England & Wales

Salary: £45,000 + bonus

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Pattern: Field-based with regular travel

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Territory Sales Representative to join a growing specialist machinery business, covering the South of England and Wales. The role will focus on developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and selling specialist plastics and composites machinery and solutions across a range of industrial sectors. This is a highly autonomous, field-based position, ideal for someone who enjoys being out with customers, building relationships and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers across the territory.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and customer visits.
  • Promote and sell specialist plastics and composites machinery and solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer information within the CRM.
  • Work closely with technical, service, finance and customer support teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Keep up to date with market developments, competitors and product knowledge.
  • Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.

About You

  • Previous experience in field sales, territory sales or business development.
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident identifying and developing new business.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
  • A technical or engineering sales background would be advantageous.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience selling machinery, industrial equipment, CNC, plastics, composites, polymers or other technical products would be beneficial, although strong B2B field sales experience will also be considered.
