About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Beer Consultant to join our independent brewery team.

This is an entry-level field sales and brand ambassador role, ideal for someone who loves independent beer and wants to build a career in brewing, sales, and hospitality.

You will help grow our business by winning new customers and building strong relationships with pubs, bars, restaurants, and retailers. Approximately two days each week will be spent making structured sales calls, with the rest of your time spent visiting customers and prospects in the field.

This isn’t about selling any beer to any customer. You will learn to understand each venue, recommend the right products, and become a trusted beer adviser. You will share market knowledge, consumer trends, and practical advice that helps our customers build a stronger beer range and grow their sales.

As part of a small independent brewery team, you must also be willing to get stuck in. You will learn how to brew beer, help with deliveries when needed, and represent the brewery at festivals, tastings, and trade shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and win new trade customers.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new-business opportunities.
  • Make structured sales calls approximately two days per week.
  • Visit prospective and existing customers throughout the sales territory.
  • Work towards ambitious sales, distribution, and new-business targets.
  • Match our beers and brands to the right customers and venues.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Deliver a level of service that consistently exceeds expectations.
  • Provide customers with useful advice about beer ranges, consumer trends, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct beer tastings, staff training, and product presentations.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, call notes, and follow-up actions.
  • Gather customer feedback and share market and competitor insights with the brewery team.
  • Represent our brewery and brands professionally and enthusiastically.
  • Learn about brewing, ingredients, beer styles, quality, and dispense.
  • Support brewery deliveries and dray work when required.
  • Help at beer festivals, trade shows, brewery events, and promotional activities.
  • Support the wider team wherever needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
