Our Tesco Colleague Rate of Pay

  • Starts from £13.28 an hour
  • Increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25
  • Additional payments may apply depending on location

Working Hours

  • Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week
  • Opportunities for fewer hours (minimum of 12) are available

Availability Windows

  • The table shows the periods of time in the week you should be available to work
  • Shifts will be scheduled within these times
  • You’ll have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be
  • Flexibility is supported, even if your availability matches closely but not exactly

Responsibilities

  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within your store
  • Working across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas where required
  • Putting into practice the training you have received for safe, effective work and excellent customer service
  • Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines in store that meet their needs
  • Taking part in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere
  • Being knowledgeable about your store's performance and understanding your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition
  • Being yourself, living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and always following our policies
  • At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store
