Test Analyst Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective testing activities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand business requirements, identify potential risks, and validate system functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and executing test cases
  • Preparing test data
  • Documenting test results
  • Reporting and tracking defects
  • Supporting defect resolution throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participating in requirement reviews
  • Conducting functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
  • Ensuring testing activities align with project objectives and quality standards
  • Maintaining testing documentation
  • Improving testing processes
  • Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Ability to design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and system test cases.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database validation techniques.
  • Knowledge of API testing concepts and web application testing.
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
