Test Analyst Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective testing activities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand business requirements, identify potential risks, and validate system functionality.
Responsibilities
- Designing and executing test cases
- Preparing test data
- Documenting test results
- Reporting and tracking defects
- Supporting defect resolution throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participating in requirement reviews
- Conducting functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Ensuring testing activities align with project objectives and quality standards
- Maintaining testing documentation
- Improving testing processes
- Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Ability to design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and system test cases.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation techniques.
- Knowledge of API testing concepts and web application testing.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
