Intermediate Test Analyst – M365 Dynamics CRM

Start Date: End of August 2026

End Date: To be confirmed

Location: UK-based, with offices in Bristol, London, Newcastle, and York

There is currently no immediate requirement to be based at a specific office. However, the successful candidate may be required to travel to one of the client's offices once or twice per month, depending on project requirements.

About the Role

Inspired Testing is looking for an Intermediate Test Analyst to join a project supporting a Booking platform for a UK Government client.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Test Analyst with experience in Microsoft 365 Dynamics CRM to contribute to a meaningful project within a government environment.

You will work under supervision, following established testing approaches and plans. The role will involve analysing straightforward requirements, executing test cases, identifying and recording defects, performing retesting, and contributing to the overall quality of the solution.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a UK Government environment and BPSS Eligible - candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse straightforward business and system requirements.
  • Review and execute established test cases and test plans.
  • Perform functional and regression testing.
  • Record, manage, and clearly document defects.
  • Perform retesting following defect fixes.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality software within an Agile/project environment.
  • Follow established testing processes, standards, and approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders and other members of the testing and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to maintaining clear and accurate test documentation.
  • Understand and apply appropriate testing techniques based on project requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement within the testing process.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Intermediate Test Analyst or similar QA/testing role.
  • Microsoft 365 Dynamics CRM experience.
  • BPSS Eligible.
  • Good understanding of software testing principles and practices.
  • Experience analysing requirements and translating them into appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
  • Experience executing manual tests and documenting results.
  • Experience identifying, recording, and managing defects.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working with UK Government clients or projects.
  • Experience working within a government or public-sector environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM within a large-scale organisation.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with common defect and test management tools.
