Job Opportunity: Test Analyst for Travel Industry

The Change Partners are working with a leading client in the travel industry who is looking to hire an experienced Test Analyst.

You’ll be joining an exciting project to develop a brand-new reservation system. Your role will involve planning, designing, and executing tests to ensure the software is high-quality and meets all requirements. You will work closely with developers and business analysts to catch defects early and deliver reliable solutions.

Essentially, you are the technical expert responsible for ensuring the new system is robust and ready for the end-user.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Analyse requirements to identify testing needs and create detailed coverage matrices, plans, and scripts.
  • Execution: Support manual and automated testing across various phases, including System Integration and End-to-End.
  • Defect Management: Log defects clearly with supporting evidence and retest them once resolved.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain traceability between requirements and test coverage while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on test progress, risks, and quality metrics to the Test Lead or Project Manager.
  • Collaboration: Work with development teams to understand system changes and support business users during UAT.
  • Data Preparation: Identify and prepare the necessary test data and estimate the effort required for project timelines.

Your Background:

  • Testing Expertise: Proven experience writing and executing test cases with a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using defect and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, X-Ray, or TestRail.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with APIs and testing across web, mobile, and cloud platforms is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: ISTQB Foundation or similar testing certifications are preferred.
  • Work Style: Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
