Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Test Analyst (SDET) – Automation to join our data transformation programme in London. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data testing, ETL validation, migration testing, reconciliation, and test automation within enterprise data environments. Banking or financial services experience is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of large-scale data migration and reporting initiatives while maintaining compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive data testing strategies for large-scale migration programmes.
- Perform end-to-end data migration validation, ensuring completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
- Design and execute reconciliation testing between source and target systems.
- Develop automated frameworks for data quality validation and regression testing.
- Validate ETL processes and ensure data transformations meet business requirements.
- Perform SQL-based validation of complex datasets and identify discrepancies.
- Validate BI reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs against source data.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Developers, and Project Managers to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Produce test plans, test cases, execution reports, defect reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support regulatory and audit requirements by providing testing evidence and compliance reporting.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience
Essential Skills
- Strong experience in ETL Testing.
- Advanced SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with data migration testing.
- Strong knowledge of data reconciliation methodologies.
- Experience with Informatica and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience in data quality testing and validation.
- Hands-on experience in test automation for data platforms.
- Experience validating BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills
- Experience working in Azure-based data platforms.
- Banking or Financial Services experience.
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Certifications
Preferred Certifications
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Desirable)

- Ability to automate complex data validation scenarios.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.
