Role Description

This full-time Test and Development Engineer role is an on-site position based in Pitstone. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining test solutions for aerospace products and systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. Daily activities include creating test plans and procedures, implementing automated test scripts, executing tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings. The engineer will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve test coverage, and support continuous integration and validation activities. The position also includes contributing to process improvements, adhering to quality standards, and supporting project schedules and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Test Development and Testing, including designing test strategies and creating test procedures for complex systems.
  • Skills in Software Testing, with experience in validating software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Skills in Software Development, including proficiency in relevant programming languages and understanding of development lifecycles.
  • Skills in Test Automation, including creating and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Software, or Systems Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
  • Experience working in aerospace or other regulated industries is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
