Job Title: Test and Development Technician

What You'll Do
As a Technician within our Test & Development department, you'll work as part of a highly skilled workshop-based team supporting vehicle test programmes at Farnborough and beyond.
- You'll work closely with Test & Development Engineers, carrying out electrical and mechanical build, modification, instrumentation, diagnostics, and fault-finding activities.
- Your work will help ensure vehicles are correctly configured and tested to the highest standards, both on site and at external proving grounds.
This is a practical, varied role involving prototype vehicles, advanced systems, and cutting-edge technology, including EV and hybrid platforms.
What We're Looking For
- You'll be an experienced technician with a strong electrical and mechanical background, ideally gained within automotive or other complex engineering environments.
- You'll be comfortable working independently, reading technical drawings, diagnosing issues, and supporting demanding test schedules.
- You'll bring a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Thriving in a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Bonus if you have:
- Experience in commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, HGVs, or specialist vehicles
- Exposure to EV or hybrid systems, including high-voltage and CAN networks
- Experience with vehicle instrumentation and data logging systems
- PSV or HGV driving licence
- Background in related sectors such as rail, aerospace, marine, mobile plant, or tier-1 suppliers
