Test Automation Engineer Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Test Automation Engineer to join a specialist cyber technology and software assurance company supporting UK Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes.

Role Overview

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be developing automated tests, investigating software issues and working with technical teams to improve testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Applying appropriate test automation practices and standards.
  • Testing software to identify, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Working alongside Test Analysts and Software Developers to develop effective solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in testing and automation.
  • Maintaining your professional development through relevant training and learning.
  • Following organisational requirements relating to security, privacy and ethics.
  • Supporting team and customer meetings, events and training where required.
  • Undertaking other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Previously worked as a Test Automation Engineer, Automation Test Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, Software Test Engineer, Test Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
  • Highly skilled using languages such as Python, PowerShell, C and Java.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a related subject, or an ISTQB qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical ability.
  • A British passport and permanent UK residency history are required to meet the stated security-clearance criteria.
