Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience & Skills Required

Candidates should have solid, hands-on experience writing Python code, including developing automation frameworks, extending proof-of-concept (POC) code into production-ready services, and maintaining code quality.

Beyond scripting, the candidate should understand software development best practices such as version control, code modularity, debugging, and possibly test-driven development (TDD).

Experience with automation tools like Selenium or Playwright is essential, along with the ability to integrate these tools into continuous deployment pipelines.

Familiarity with deploying and maintaining services in cloud environments is required, which often involves understanding infrastructure as code, containerization, or cloud service management.

Responsibilities

  • Service Maintenance and Deployment: Manage and deploy services efficiently, ensuring smooth operation and quick resolution of any failures.
  • POC Code Enhancement and Testing: Extend proof-of-concept (POC) code into fully functional services and maintain continuous sanity testing after every deployment or change across automation tools.
  • User Issue Management: Collaborate with users to identify, document, and investigate reported issues effectively.
  • Knowledge Base Development: Create and maintain a comprehensive FAQ documenting common issues and their resolutions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse the performance of tool releases to ensure no degradation occurs post-deployment.
