Do you want to join an innovative technology business that's building and scaling a modern cloud platform supporting AI-driven products and digital experiences used by globally recognised brands?
We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team, helping deliver a major platform modernisation and migration programme across cloud infrastructure, security, automation and backend services.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working across AWS, DevOps, infrastructure automation, security engineering and backend platform development. You'll play a key role in improving platform resilience, reducing operational risk and helping deliver scalable, secure and highly available cloud solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
- Building, maintaining and improving AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple environments
- Supporting platform modernisation, migration activity and release readiness
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using modern cloud tooling
- Managing and improving AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, ALB and IAM
- Supporting WAF implementation, security hardening and platform governance initiatives
- Implementing access controls, credential management and compliance best practices
- Supporting CloudFront, trusted origins and edge security configurations
- Working closely with engineering, security and infrastructure teams to improve platform delivery
- Supporting backend APIs, services and integrations using TypeScript where required
- Assisting with migration waves, DNS cutovers and post-deployment validation
- Improving observability through logging, monitoring and alerting solutions
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes
- Reducing technical debt and improving reliability, maintainability and scalability across the platform
- Producing technical documentation, runbooks and operational guidance

What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
- Strong AWS experience, particularly EC2, S3, CloudFront, ALB and IAM
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Serverless Framework or Terraform
- Strong understanding of cloud security, governance and access management
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Experience supporting platform migrations, cloud transformation projects or production releases
- Knowledge of WAF technologies, security controls and compliance requirements
- Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tooling
- Backend development experience using TypeScript would be highly beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure and delivery teams
