Tooling adoption: delivery & rollout focus
- Strategic vision and thought leadership in leveraging AI, AGI, and MCP capabilities to transform and accelerate Test Automation and Quality Engineering practices.
- Proven ability to define, lead, and scale modern test automation strategies across complex delivery environments at an organizational or enterprise level.
- Demonstrable examples of use cases and measurable outcomes, along with a forward-looking approach to adoption, focused on:
- Improving productivity
- Increasing test coverage
- Enhancing quality insights
- Reducing delivery risk
- Driving stronger business outcomes

To lead the coordinated rollout of functional test automation tooling, ensuring PoCs are executed consistently, outcomes are reusable, and delivery teams can adopt automation quickly without reinventing frameworks or patterns.
Key responsibilities (delivery focused):
- Coordinate functional test automation tool discovery and onboarding, working with QE CoE and product teams to evaluate Jira integrated and AI assisted tools raised in recent discussions and vendor engagements
- Plan and run structured proofs of concept for functional automation tools, defining clear entry/exit criteria, capturing outcomes, and ensuring findings are repeatable and comparable across teams
- Own the creation of reusable functional automation frameworks, templates and starter kits (UI, API, BDD), enabling teams to onboard without bespoke setup or deep specialist support
- Act as the central coordination point between delivery teams, vendors, and central platform functions during rollout, reducing duplicated effort and inconsistent implementations
- Define lightweight guardrails for functional automation (what good looks like, what to avoid), ensuring tooling is used consistently without slowing delivery
- Support teams during early adoption, helping embed functional automation into CI/CD pipelines and existing delivery workflows
- Capture learnings from PoCs and early rollouts and convert them into practical guidance, examples and reference implementations that can be shared across the organisation
- Knowledge of playwright, Cypress or selenium based frameworks
