Test Automation Engineer – Electronics
Bristol
£60,000

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to develop automated test solutions for an electronics company producing advanced electronic products.
This is a hands-on electronics role, working across hardware, embedded systems and test software. You will collaborate with Electronics, Firmware and Mechanical Engineers to support products from initial prototype and PCB bring-up through to production.

- Design, develop and maintain automated test systems.
- Create test solutions for PCBs, embedded devices and complete products.
- Support PCB bring-up, debugging and fault finding.
- Develop test fixtures and supporting electronics.
- Write test software using C, C++ or Python.
- Improve test coverage, reliability and production efficiency.
Required Experience
- Automated test equipment or electronic test-system development.
- Electronics design, PCB testing and hardware debugging.
- Embedded hardware and microcontrollers.
- Programming experience with C, C++ or Python.
- Using electronic laboratory equipment and reading schematics.

We are looking for a practical engineer who enjoys working directly with electronic hardware and solving problems across electronics, firmware and software.
This role may suit a Test Automation Engineer, Test Development Engineer, Electronics Engineer or Automated Test Equipment Engineer with experience testing physical electronic products.
