Test Centre Administrator

Pearson VUE has been a pioneer in the computer-based testing industry for decades, delivering more than 15 million certification and licensure exams annually in every industry from academia, I.T. and healthcare. We are the global leaders in developing and delivering high-stakes exams via the world's most comprehensive network of nearly 20,000 Test Centres in 180 countries. We are now hiring for a Test Centre Administrator to join our successful team in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Your Opportunity

  • Work a minimum of 15 hours per month
  • Available Monday to Saturday
  • Pay rate is £13.60/hour, paid monthly in arrears
  • Holiday pay is paid via a 12% pay supplement

Your Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Welcome, greet and check-in customers/test-taking candidates
  • Comply with all exams testing security and procedures and follow company policies using careful judgment
  • Verify customer/candidate personal identification documents and explain the exam testing process/rules
  • Invigilate candidates while they are completing their exam/test
  • Troubleshoot with internal departments, such as our IT department to fix any technical issues in the Test Centre
  • Perform general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming floors, dusting, emptying bins, and sanitizing keyboards/workstations as necessary

Our Successful Applicant

  • Friendly and professional team-player with school qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) would be advantageous
  • Flexible to work different days and times and comfortable in a quiet testing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to hear soft voices, and monitor for restricted behaviour
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and stand from a seated position with ease on multiple occasions
  • Ability to escort candidates to and from exam/testing room and perform regular walk throughs of the testing room
  • Ability to handle/be in close proximity to a range of specialist hand-held scanning devices (especially, metal detection equipment) and be able to bend and stretch to reach a candidate’s head and ankles, repeatedly during the day
  • Willingness to travel to other Test Centres to provide support would be beneficial
