Test Development Engineer

Location: Gloucester
Salary: £50,000
Position Type: Permanent

We are looking for a Test Development Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated test solutions for advanced electronic products. Working closely with Electronics, Firmware and Mechanical Engineers, you'll support products from prototype through to production, ensuring they are thoroughly tested and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automated test systems using LabVIEW.
  • Design test equipment, fixtures and jigs.
  • Support PCB bring-up, debugging and fault finding.
  • Develop microcontroller-based test systems (e.g. STM32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
  • Write test procedures and documentation.
  • Work with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve test processes.

Required Experience

  • Automated test equipment development.
  • Strong LabVIEW experience.
  • Electronics design and PCB debugging.
  • Embedded hardware and microcontrollers.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other test equipment.
  • Knowledge of C, C++ or Python is beneficial.
