Job Title: Test Development Engineer
Location: Ryde, PO33 1QT
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: 45K-55K/Year
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Test Development Engineer for one of our clients located in Ryde. In this role you will be reporting to Head of Engineering and will be responsible for providing test engineering technical support to production and assist in new test equipment development.
Responsibilities of Test Development Engineer:
- Product Support – first line technical support for production test issues. Initial triage, diagnosis and repair of current test equipment and fixtures.
- Test Equipment Design – Creation of test equipment including development jigs, qualification jigs, manual test equipment and automated test equipment in liaison with a Principal Engineer.
- Maintain and improve documentation.
- Support of current test equipment and software.
- Test Equipment Improvement. Find benefits and cost savings in current test equipment.

Required Qualifications:
- Understanding of test equipment usage in a relevant field (manual and ATE).
- Understanding of test principles and how they are applied.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and how to test their effectiveness.
- Understanding of In-circuit test principles.
- Experience testing switched mode power supplies or similar circuitry.
- A Level/BTEC in relevant subjects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Understand power supply characteristics
- LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, C/C++ experience.
