The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join one of our delivery teams working on a high-profile Central Government programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with developers, Business Analysts and wider Agile teams to build robust automated testing solutions and help deliver secure, reliable digital services.

We're looking for someone with strong automation experience who is equally comfortable testing APIs and user interfaces, and who understands the importance of shifting quality earlier in the development process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing and maintaining automated test solutions
- Creating and executing automated API and UI tests
- Embedding shift-left testing practices across Agile delivery teams
- Performing both functional and non-functional testing
- Collaborating with developers and other engineers to improve software quality
- Identifying defects and supporting their resolution
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting engineering best practices and a quality-first mindset
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with Test Engineers who have experience with:
- Strong automation testing experience
- Java or JavaScript
- API testing
- UI automation testing
- Shift-left testing principles
- Non-functional testing (such as performance, security or accessibility)
- Agile delivery environments
- Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
