Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a Test Engineer. You will be the sole Test resource embedded in a Scrum Team consolidating legacy instances of Zendesk and Dynamics 365 into a single instance of D365 under MaPS control. As part of the Scrum Team you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of Quality Assurance and Testing are included throughout the process, ensuring that requirements are testable, tickets are complete, Definitions of Done are recorded and test executions are completed with appropriate evidence recorded. You will also be involved with the defect triage and management as part of the Scrum Team.

A second part of the role will be to automate the test scripts used during the project to leave a legacy automated regression pack that can be incorporated into the wider Regression Pack. This will include a mix of code level tests and user journey tests to give a broad picture of the products health.

You’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping people across the UK improve their financial wellbeing.

Job Description

Role Overview

The Test Engineer will report directly to our QA Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for:

At This Role Level, You Will:

  • Be proficient in a range of coding languages (you may be an expert in only one)

  • Support the Automated Regression pack so that it remains relevant
  • Maintain the automation framework and pipelines to support rapid delivery
  • Support Test Engineers to deliver automated test sets that can be incorporated into the wider pack

  • Support stakeholders in matters of automated testing to increase understanding
  • Participate in Scrum Ceremonies and Artefacts
  • Report to QA Manager on progress and issues and escalate any issues that require it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
