Experienced Electrical Test Engineer Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to expand their career with a leading switchgear manufacturer. The ideal candidate will be time-served in testing MV and LV switchboards and MCCs and who can work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Insulation Resistance / Dielectric (Flash) Testing
  • Low Impedance / Resistance (Ductor) Testing
  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Testing
  • Soft Start Drive Testing
  • Power Factor Correction Equipment Testing
  • Primary / Secondary Current Injection Testing
  • Protection Relay Testing (Schneider Sepam, Schneider Micom, ABB REF)
  • Full Control Logic Function Testing
  • Completing QA and Test Documentation / Records
  • Carrying out customer Factory Acceptance Tests

Job Type

38 hours, Mon – Thurs 7am – 5pm

Join our manufacturing team under new shop floor leadership in our Clydebank and Yoker facilities. With easy access points from both the Erskine Bridge and the new Renfrew Bridge, we are a short journey from Glasgow, Paisley and further afield.

NCE Switchgear now operates a four-day working week within our NCE factory in Clydebank. That means that you will benefit from a long weekend every weekend! Due to the nature of this role, we cannot offer a hybrid or WFH opportunity.
