RedRock Consulting are partnered with a leading consultancy delivering a major UK Government digital programme and are seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineer with Scala expertise to join a high-performing agile team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites
- Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Working closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Delivery Teams
- Embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Contributing to automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Identifying, documenting, and managing defects through to resolution
- Supporting test planning, estimation, and quality assurance activities within agile teams
What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience within Software Testing / QA
- Proven experience developing automated tests using Scala
- Experience testing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and best practices
- Hands-on experience working within CI/CD environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams

Nice to Have
- Experience working on Government, GDS, or wider Public Sector programmes
- Performance, security, or non-functional testing experience
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes
- Understanding of accessibility standards and digital service best practices
