Job Description

Experience in Temenos Core Banking/Private Banking/ Wealth Management is must.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing and executing manual test cases, validating business workflows, logging defects, supporting retesting and regression testing, and ensuring that application functionality meets agreed acceptance criteria.

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Banking, payments, lending, cards, deposits, digital channels, or core banking domain experience is preferred.
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data requirements, expected results, and execution evidence.
  • Execute functional, system, integration, smoke, sanity, regression, and end-to-end test cases as per the approved test plan.
  • Perform backend validation using SQL queries, logs, reports, batch outputs, API responses, or database checks where applicable.
  • Log defects with clear steps to reproduce, screenshots, logs, severity, priority, and business impact.
  • Support defect triage, retesting, regression testing, and closure verification in coordination with development and business teams.
  • Maintain requirement-to-test-case traceability and ensure test execution status is updated in the agreed test management tool.
  • Support UAT preparation, user walkthroughs, test evidence consolidation, and test completion reporting.

  • Experience in manual testing across functional, integration, regression, and UAT support phases.
  • Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile delivery, defect lifecycle, test case design techniques, and test execution processes.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, Zephyr, or equivalent test management and defect tracking platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, API validation using Postman or SOAP UI, log analysis, and basic data validation.
  • Ability to understand business processes, identify test coverage gaps, and communicate defects clearly.
