Company Description

ACCT UK is a national youth charity focused on improving the life chances of young people through involvement with the Army Cadets. The charity supports youth development by offering opportunities to gain new skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships through structured cadet activities. ACCT UK also invests in developing the leadership and training capabilities of adult volunteers who work with Army Cadets. By opening up inclusive opportunities for young people across diverse backgrounds, ACCT UK aims to inspire them to pursue and achieve their life ambitions.

Role Description

The Test Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This role involves designing, maintaining, and executing test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of systems and applications used within the organization. The Test Engineer will perform functional testing, document test results, analyze defects, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Participating in review meetings
  • Contributing to the enhancement of testing processes and tools

The person in this role will work closely with cross-functional teams to help ensure that technology solutions effectively support ACCT UK’s mission and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Core testing competencies, including Testing and Functional Testing.
  • Structured test design skills, including Test Engineering and Test Cases.
  • Practical execution abilities, including Test Execution and defect reporting.
  • Relevant experience in software or systems testing within charity, non-profit, or education-focused environments is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document and communicate findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with test management tools, issue tracking systems, and standard QA methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and to work on-site within a dynamic environment.
  • A relevant technical qualification or degree (e.g., computer science, engineering, information systems) or equivalent practical experience.
