Lead Test & Engineering Manager
Location: Guildford (Hybrid - approx 3x a month onsite)
Salary: Up to £93,000 (depending on experience) + 10% Bonus + package
We're supporting a major technology and cyber programme and are looking for an experienced Test & Engineering Manager to lead engineering governance, testing strategy and customer acceptance activities across a large-scale Security Operations Centre (SOC) deployment.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work across engineering, cyber security, programme delivery and customer stakeholder groups to ensure complex technical solutions are delivered, tested and accepted successfully.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading engineering and testing activities across a large-scale cyber security programme
- Defining and owning engineering governance, test strategies and acceptance approaches
- Managing engineering resources and coordinating multi-disciplinary technical teams
- Driving customer acceptance planning and execution
- Ensuring releases meet both functional and non-functional requirements
- Reviewing and approving technical documentation including designs, deployment guides and operational artefacts
- Working closely with customer stakeholders to agree acceptance criteria and achieve timely sign-off
- Providing oversight across solution integration, technical delivery and quality assurance activities
- Supporting delivery of a complex SOC environment spanning cloud and on-premise technologies

What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' leading engineering, testing, integration or technical delivery activities on large-scale programmes
- Strong understanding of Security Operations Centres (SOC) and cyber security technologies
- Experience defining test strategies, acceptance plans and release governance processes
- Proven stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing engagement
- Experience managing technical teams and coordinating delivery across multiple workstreams
- Background working within complex, regulated or secure environments
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft environments
- Understanding of systems integration, operational acceptance and service transition activities
