About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer to join our Production Design Support Team. You will play a key role in a range of Engineering activities, providing Test Equipment design support to the Manufacturing organization and broadening your expertise in an international environment. Salary
- Up to £43,000 depending on experience
Working Conditions
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
- Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
- Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity
We have a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer to play a key role in the support of production activities with Production Design Support (PDS) at our site in Bolton.
You will act as an integral interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.
The role offers the candidate a true engineering challenge in their core discipline(s), whilst providing scope for personal growth and development in other areas of Electronics.
Working within Production Design Support (PDS) is a highly rewarding role as you not only see designs coming to life in the manufacturing environment but you can also help to shape the design of the products and test equipment, delivering support to our customers.
What We're Looking For
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
- Someone who has a record of accomplishment of on-time delivery.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring. Someone with a passion for innovation and collaboration.
- Investigative skills to be able to find Root Causes of design related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
