The Role
As our Head Chef, you will take the lead in ensuring that high-quality, well-presented dishes are consistently delivered to our guests. You will oversee the kitchen team, manage stock and ordering, and drive forward creative specials that enhance our menu offering.
A successful Head Chef is confident in delivering well-prepared meals, skilled in a variety of cooking techniques, and able to move efficiently around a busy kitchen. You will be comfortable multitasking, maintaining high standards under pressure, and adapting to the needs of the business. This role will require weekend work and occasional overtime.
Your role is central to maintaining and elevating our reputation, helping us continue to grow our customer base through excellent food and consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the food preparation process, controlling, directing, and overseeing all kitchen production.
- Approving, finishing, and presenting dishes before they reach the customer.
- Managing and working closely with your team to maintain consistently high standards.
- Creating menu items, recipes, and specials that offer variety as well as quality.
- Determine inventory needs, managing stock levels, and placing orders.
- Ensuring the kitchen meets all sanitary, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Maintaining safe working practices, COSHH awareness, and reporting concerns promptly.

About You
- Busy kitchen experience including working on a Carvery.
- Creative but consistent with the ability to design dishes while following set specifications.
- HACCP knowledge and strong understanding of food safety standards.
- Confident handling multiple orders during busy periods.
- Professional and reliable with a calm, steady approach under pressure.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene is an advantage as is COSHH and chemical safety awareness.
