Test & QA Lead | 6-Month Contract | E-commerce Replatform | Shopify, Salesforce, MuleSoft | London Hybrid
This is an e-commerce replatforming programme heading for go-live early next year. Testing is delivered by capable third-party partners, but nobody owns it. We need someone who knows whether the end-to-end order flow is genuinely covered, who can tell senior stakeholders plainly what's ready and what isn't, and who will run the tests themselves when that's what the moment needs. The Role
- Own test and QA across a commerce platform spanning Shopify, Salesforce Service Cloud, MuleSoft integrations and legacy back-end systems
- Lead performance and regression testing ahead of go-live and beyond
- Coordinate UAT and integration testing with business users and third-party testing partners, from planning to sign-off
- Review existing test plans, identify the gaps and close them, particularly across the end-to-end order flow
- Run defect management and build clear, reliable reporting on progress, issues and risks
- Establish structure across third-party QA resources and hold partners to a consistent standard
- Train internal colleagues on what good QA looks like

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Test Lead or QA Lead within an enterprise environment
- Hands-on technical testing ability. You lead by example and are comfortable in the detail.
- Performance, regression, integration testing and UAT experience
- A strong understanding of end-to-end e-commerce flows, particularly the order flow
- Experience testing against back-end systems, including legacy environments
- Experience coordinating QA delivered through third parties
- The credibility and confidence to reassure senior business stakeholders, set clear expectations and communicate risk plainly
- A structured, organised approach

Nice to have
- E-commerce replatforming experience
- Shopify, Salesforce Service Cloud or MuleSoft exposure (you don't need all three)
- Retail or consumer brand background
What's On Offer
- £350-£450 per day, [Outside IR35 status]
- 6-month initial contract (FTC considered)
- Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week on site in London
- Take a replatforming programme through go-live, with the authority to set the testing standard
- Direct access to senior business stakeholders, where your view on release readiness carries real weight
- A clear, two-stage process: a 30-minute call, then an on-site interview
