Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our Avaloq banking application by testing new features, identifying defects, and improving testing processes. You will work closely with development, business, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application quality.
- Test new features, enhancements, and system updates.
- Identify, track, and report defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Understand integrations between Avaloq and other systems such as CRM, trading platforms, and data stores.
Quality Engineering
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Tosca, UFT, or Appium.
- Improve testing processes and increase automation coverage.
- Track quality metrics and prepare reports to identify improvement areas.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Process Improvement
- Continuously improve QA processes and testing standards.
- Maintain clear test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
- Stay updated with Avaloq releases and industry best practices.
Collaboration
- Work closely with development, business, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Clearly communicate testing progress, defects, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
- Experience with Avaloq or similar banking/financial software.
- Good understanding of software testing methods (Black Box, White Box, and Gray Box testing).
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Tosca, UFT, Appium, or similar.
- Programming knowledge in Java, Python, PL/SQL, or C#.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Wealth Management and Investment products.

Nice to Have
- ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA certifications.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
